As such in the interest of the future, students are requested to select the proper Engineering College before taking admission. The General Guidelines for selecting a proper college are.

Faculty:- College should have a highly qualified & well-experienced faculty. Usually, decent colleges carry a short profile of each of their faculty with the details of educational qualifications and experience on their Website.

Research:- Colleges undergoing research is a good sign of it being academically rich. This can also be verified from the college website

Accreditation:- The question of Accreditation by AICTE is irrelevant for central & State Government Institutes and Institutes having University status But Private Engineering College must be approved by AICTE. It may also be noted that Universities do not grant affiliation to technical colleges unless they are approved by AICTE.
Accreditation can be verified from AICTE Website (www.aicte.india.org) and affiliation can be verified from UGC website (www.ugc.ac.in)

Fill Rate:- The fill rate is the percentage of seats which the institution is able to fill every year.

Placement:- The employability of any institute can be measured by Placement record of that institute. Therefore best college manages to get the best placement for their students. This can be verified by placement related news, Institutes brochure and consultation.
